I don't know why I am so embarrassed about this, but I am. So I'm writing a journal entry to try to justify my new i.d.

I had no intentions of making a new one. In fact, I really liked my old one because it had my sweet little Joey in it and now I feel bad that I changed it!

See, I was lounging around watching internet tv, literally lying down on the bed like a big lump of lazy. My makeup had started to wear away already. So I have no idea why I chose that time to open up my webcam and mess with it. Ah, I think I remember why. I had been wanting to play with either of my digital cameras, but both of their batteries were dead.

And so, I started to experiment with the angle of the screen to see what it would do. And I ended up getting these cool pictures that caught the light really well. All I had to do was adjust the contrast a little and do some other simple stuff to make it pop. I highly recommend doing a lazy photoshoot like this-so much less work!

The whole point of this is that, being the type of person who likes to prove that crappy cameras can take surprisingly good pictures sometimes, this was a nice bit of irony for me. What aspiring graphic designer uses a web camera for an i.d. photo for their art-related website? You can see the grainyness if you look. I'm not saying that it's SLR-quality. But again, WEB CAM.

That's honestly why I uploaded it. That, and I really like what happened with the type. It wasn't my idea at all...it accidentally happened. I had the shirt color layer set on a certain blend mode, and I didn't realize I was typing underneath that. I think that's my favorite part of the whole thing now.

Seriously, though, it is nauseatingly pretentious-looking and I apologize for that. It's also a little inappropriate-looking, considering I'm lying on a bed like an advertisement for an adult chat line or something.

So that's my story. I must be really insecure to have to write something like this!
